WORD. The Literacy Studio is led by Shelby Madden, an early literacy specialist with more than 28 years of experience in K-2 instruction, literacy intervention, and instructional coaching.

Her diagnostic, individualized approach is grounded in the science of reading and shaped by ongoing observation of how children learn to read and write. She is currently completing advanced dyslexia-focused training through the Dyslexia Training Institute.

WORD intentionally maintains a small caseload to provide focused instruction, close progress monitoring, and responsive teaching.
